Tampa Bay Downs has a nine-race card on Friday with first post of 12:15 p.m.
A full field of ten Sophomore Maiden Fillies will go a mile and one-sixteenth on the lawn under $16,000 Claiming conditions in Race 7. Post time is scheduled for 3:17 PM. RadioStPete live coverage, including legendary race caller Richard Grunder will start at 3:15.
KITTEN WITH A WHIP (9) looks to be in a good spot to graduate today. She was last seen on January 8, when she was a decent second at a grassy mile, vs. similar foes as today. That was her Tampa debut and first time in a Claiming race. She has been rested since then, logging five local works. The additional half furlong distance should be to her liking, as she owns the best late pace fig here. Top tier rider Jesus Castenon has the return call.
