Gulfstream Park will have a Rainbow
6 carryover of $317,841.65 on Saturday.
First post is 12:35 p.m. for a
12-race card that features the first four legs in the Florida Sire Stakes
Series. The Rainbow 6 is on races seven to 12.
The carryover continues to grow
because Friday was the 20th straight
race day without the carryover/jackpot payoff requirement of just one
ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
On Friday there were 46 tickets
with all six winners. Each received $997.40.
The carryover coming in was
$298,059. Bettors added $82,451 to the Rainbow 6 pool.
Gulfstream took
out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet. It divided 56 percent among tickets
with six winners and put 24 percent into the carryover.
There
were 54 starters in Friday's Rainbow 6 races, for an average field size of 9.0.
All of the six winners were at 4-1
or lower, including one favorite. That was a main reason for the
relatively low winning price.
The
Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination only bet, Bettors can use multiple
horses in each race and thus have multiple combinations.
