This Saturday, Jan. 23, will be the fifth annual "Pegasus Day" at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach Fla.
Gulfstream will have the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Grade 1) at 1 1/8 miles on dirt. It also will have six other graded stakes races.
First post time will be 11:40 a.m. for a 12-race card.
Saturday will be he first day since last March 15 on which Gulfstream will have a significant part of its property open to spectators, although not for general admission,
That will be parts of the ground floor, second floor, and third floor that have been closed to the COVID-9 19 pandemic. Gulfstream has not said whether it intends to keep any of those areas open after this Saturday.
Information about ticket prices (high again this year) and availability may be found on the Pegasus Web site.
On Saturday, the outdoor areas on the Gulfstream racing property will be closed to the public--as they have been since mid March.
Only trainers and owners who have a horse running on Saturday will be permitted in that apron area and near the rail.
