BAUER'S BETS: FAST & FIRM at TAMPA

Sunday's feature Race 6, scheduled for 2:44 PM Post time, presents well-bred Maidens from some of the nation's top barns. This four year-old and up Maiden Special event will be contested at a mile on the turf for a purse of $22,500. Live coverage on RadioStPete online will start at 2:42.

ST JOE LOUIS (6) from the Chad Brown outfit, is a good candidate to graduate at first asking. A son of KINGMAN, a British sire, he is bred up and down for the green, with several European grass runners in his pedigree. His connections paid $684,000 for him as a baby. Brown wins at a 21% clip with debut runners on the sod and leading jockey Camacho will ride.

THE BET   $10 to win on ST JOE LOUIS (6) and a $3 exacta box with JARREAU (1) and MUTAKAAMIL (7)    1,6,7      Total Bet $28     GOOD LUCK!!

PREVIOUS RESULTS  1/30  Another tough beat, the win bet was second after a very close photo finish. However, we had the the saver exacta box that returned $52.20, a profit of $14.50 for the day. The bankroll is now $777.10.
