On this day of chaos at the Capitol in Washington, D.C., racing continues at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., and at other thoroughbred tracks in. the United States.
Here are results of the fifth and sixth races, the starts of the Rainbow 6 and Late Pick 5, at Gulfstream:
*5th race -- won by Ten Pin Ally (2) at18-1. Wagering on the Rainbow 6 was $299,671. The carryover coming in was $846,594. Gulfstream has guaranteed that the pool will be at least $1.4 million if there is just one ticket with all six winners
*6th race --won by Corey (4) at 5-2. Wagering on the Late Pick 5 was $317,381. There were no coming-in guarantees or carryovers.
