HRFLA Staff Report
Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020--Today will be remembered by racing fans and by people in the industry as the final day of thoroughbred racing at the track that was long known as Calder Race Course.
First post is 12:35 p.m. for a ten-race card on closing day at the Gulfstream Park West meet---held at Calder in Miami Gardens, Fla.
In addition to nostalgia, there is the attraction of mandatory payouts on the Rainbow 6 and Late Pick 5 and on the Super Hi-5 in the tenth race.
The Rainbow 6 has a carryover of $347,137. The 20 cents per combination-only bet will be on races five through ten with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:31 p.m.
We anticipate that about $3 million will be bet on the Rainbow 6 today.
Gulfstream will pay out 80 percent of that bet (20 percent takeout) and the entire carryover--regardless of the number of tickets with all six winning horses.

We will have coverage this afternoon on this blog.
