The dirt track is listed as Fast and the Turf is listed as Firm for Friday at the Gulfstream Park West meet, held at Calder on that track's second-to-last day of racing.
On Saturday, meet sponsor Gulfstream Park will have mandatory payouts on the Rainbow 6 and Late Pick 5 and on the Super Hi-5 in the last race.
The main Friday attraction is the Rainbow 6 with a carryover of $309,456. The 20 cent per combination-only bet is on races, five to ten with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:31 p.m.
Gulfstream is guaranteeing that Friday's jackpot pool will be at least $450,000 if there is just one ticket with all six Rainbow 6 winners. The jackpot is made up of 80 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet (20 percent takeout) and the entire coming-in carryover.
Later today, we will explain the other aspects of the Rainbow 6, and look at other races on the Saturday card and at some memories of Calder.
