General McGooby led almost the entire race and held off Bronson, ridden by Tyler Gaffalione, to win Tuesday's $100,000 Not Surprising Stakes at Gulfstream.
The 11th and final race is coming up. Gaffalione has seven wins, for a tie with Jerry Bailey for most wins in a day at Gulfstream.
Gaffalione is riding Only in America (13) in the one mile dirt race for $6,250 claimers.
Only in America could have a clean run and be chasing Sioux (2) and Capital City (4) in the stretch.
