Recalibrating, at 4-1, beat Giant's Voice, at 5-1. in Saturday's first race at Gulfstream Park.
With Luca Panici riding, Recalibrating won the 1 1/16 mile turf race in 1:41.95 on the turf course listed as firm. It was a $10.000 claiming race with an $18,000 purse.
The time was fast for that class of horses, continuing a recent trend on the turf course during a period with little rain.
Skies are clear at Gulfstream. The dirt track is listed as fast and has been sealed in anticipation of rain.
The Weather Channel forecast is for a 35 percent chance of thunderstorms from 3:00 p.m. onward.
