Swiss Skydiver Our Pick to win Kentucky Oaks

Swiss Skydiver (1) is our pick to win the 1 1/8  mile Kentucky Oaks (Grade 1), coming up at 5:45  at Churchill Downs.

We see Gamine  (5) coming in second, followed by  Speech (4) and long shot Tempers Rising (2).

Swiss Skydiver has finished second at today's  distance, in the Blue Grass against males, and she won at 1 1/4 miles in the Alabama.

Trainer Ken McPeek says she is strong and ready. She has tactical speed and versatility that should enable her to catch Gamine and hold off Speech and any others. Gamine and Speech have not raced beyond 1 1/16 miles.

Tempers Rising is trained by Dallas Stewart, known for winning the 2006 Oaks with long shot Lemons Forever and several other big races by long shots in Churchill stakes races.

Tempers Rising finished second in the Fair Grounds Oaks (Grade 2).  We expect her to pass several horses in the stretch.
