Last year, Bodexpress ran in the Kentucky Derby as a maiden and finished fourteenth.
Bodexpress is back at Churchill Downs today for a race on the Kentucky Derby undercard.
He will be in the seventh race--a $62,500 optional claimer with a $103,000 purse at 1 1/16 miles on dirt.
Bodexpress likely will be among the favorites, along with Aurelius Maximus and Locally Owned He is not in for the tag.
Scheduled post is 2:20 p.m.
Javier Castellano will ride Bodexpress for trainer Gustavo Delgado, whose year-round base is at Gulfstream Park West. The colt's owners are Global Thoroughbreds and Top Racing.
Bodeexpress has two wins in fourteen career starts. During the 2019-2020 meet, Bodexpress finished third in the 1 1/16 mile Harlan's Holiday (Grade 3) and the one-mile Hal's Hope.
The field also has Signalman, seeking his first win since winning the Kentucky Jockey Club Grade 2) at Churchill in November 2018.
Signalman finished seventh in the 2019 Holy Bull (Grade 2) at Gulfstream, Brian Hernandez Jr. will ride him for trainer Ken McPeek.
