Gulfstream Park will open its North Tent to the public to allow fans to bet on the simulcast of the Kentucky Derby, along with other Churchill Downs races, and the live races at Gulfstream.
Betting also will be available on the full simulcast menu for Gulfstream, including Saratoga.
This will only be for this Saturday. Beginning Sunday, Gulfstream will resume its "no spectators" rule due to COVID-19 pandemic.
There will be a very limited capacity on a first come, first served basis.
Entrance to the tent area will be through the north entrance to the tent area off the north parking lot only. Gates open at 10:30 am.
A temperature check and screening will be done before entering and guests must always wear their mask.
The North Valet parking will be open The tent will have a cash bar (no liquor) a grab & go food menu and live tellers
A limited number of tables and chairs meeting social distance requirements will be available, also on a first come, first served basis.
Gulfstream will have twelve races, with first post at 12:00 p.m. Scheduled post for the last race is 5:56 p.m.
There will be three stakes races:
*8th race -- $75,000 Bear's Den -- 7 1/2 furlongs on turf, 3-YO
*10th race -- $75,000 Miss Gracie -- 7 1/2 furlongs on turf, 3-YO fillies and mares
Churchill's first post is 11:00 a.m. The Kentucky Derby is the 14th and final race with scheduled post of 7:01 p.m.
