The carried-over Super Hi-5 was hit in the first race at Gulfstream on Friday.
It paid $12,893.70 for a minimum $1 bet. The number of wining tickets could not be readily determined. If you do the n math below, indications are that there were two winners.
The carryover coming in was $10,122. Bettors added $19,111.
Nurse John, at 6-1 odds, won the 1 1/16 mile turf race for $16,000 claimer fillies and mares.
The high payoff was largely due to Be Sure Lisa, at 22-1, finishing third in the seven-horse field.
The order of finish was 6-2-5-4-1.
Gulfstream will next have the Super Hi-5 on the third race--the next race that will meet the minimum requirement of seven starters.
