The Super Hi-5 was hit for $388.90 for
a $1 bet in the second race at Gulfstream Park on Sunday.
There
was a carryover of $4,161.75 for the race because there
were no winning tickets on the Super Hi-5 in Sunday’s 12th and final
race.
Bettors, who had overnight to study,
put another $34,697 into the Super Hi-5 for the second race. It was the first Sunday race with seven or
more starters and thus eligible for the bet.
Responsive, the even-money favorite,
won the second race by a length over Suzy’sprideofparis.
The race was a $10,000 claimer at 7 ½
furlongs on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.
Responsive won in 1:28.34. Elvis Trujllo won for trainer Mark Casse.
