Lirica took the lead in mid-stretch and went on to win by four lengths over Mia in Thursday's sixth race at Gulfstream Park--a maiden special weight at five furlongs on dirt for 2-year-old fillies.
Lago Lindo finished third, another half length back in the eight-horse field.
Marco Meneses rode Lago Lindo, who won in 58.92 seconds--a solid time for a 2-year-old.
Antonio Samo trains Lirica for Magic Stables.
The race was the second for Lirica, a daughter of Kantharos.
On June 2, she finished second to Perfect Kay in a five-furlong MSW race at Gulfstream.
