Tampa Bay Downs Reopens Poker for All Games; Monday Card Has Eight Races

Tampa Bay Downs will have eight races on Monday, with first post of 12:37 p.m.--and its Silks Poker Room is into the second day of its reopening. 

The poker room is now open seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 2 a.m. for all poker games and tournament play.

In a news release on Sunday, it included these two sentences. 


Simulcast wagering is not being offered at the present time. It will return once Grandstand modifications are finalized to implement safe social distancing for all customers, hopefully in the next 2-to-3 weeks.


As it has be doing since March 18, the Oldsmar, Fla., track will not allow spectators in the racing area and will have no on-track betting. That has become standard  for U.S. thoroughbred tracks as they comply with government guidances on public gatherings and social distancing amid the coronavirus COVID-19) pandemic.

Fans can watch and wager on Tampa Bay races using Advance Deposit Wagering phone and Internet accounts and at simulcast locations, OTB offices and sports books that have recently reopened in various parts of the country.
