Gulfstream's Saturday; Carryovers

Gulfstream Park plans a 10 race card Saturday, with first post of 12:00 Noon. The weather looks more favorable today, as just a 10-15% chance of rain is forecast during racing hours.

Three stakes races are planned in the 6th, 8th and 9th races.

Race 6, Soldier's Dance, $100,000; 3 y/o and up, turf
Race 8, Ginger Punch, $100,000; 3 y/o and up, turf

Race 9, Game Face, $75,000; 3 y/o fillies, dirt.

Race 5 is the run that starts the Rainbow 6 wager, which is planned for a 2:10 PM post time.

In Friday's racing action, some huge payouts were recorded, with just one real long-shot in the late 6 races.

Late Pick 4:  paid $4,315Late  Pick 5: paid $10,378Rainbow 6:   paid $76,065.30 to 2 winning tickets.

The highest odds win was Lahinch at 20:1 in race 8, which dwindled down the bettors considerably for that nice win.

The two carryovers as Saturday's post nears:
Rainbow 6 will  be $1,427,546 carryover.
The Super Hi-5 carryover will be $4,864. To be run on the first race with 7 or more starters leaving the gate.

Check your racing program on-line for late scratches, as the weather can turn quickly.

Good luck!
