Gulfstrea Mandatory Rainbow 6 Payout is Today

Gulfstream Park has a mandatory payout  of its Rainbow 6 jackpot on Saturday--no matter the number of tickets with all six winning horses.

The pool begins with a carryover of $1,861,605, built up over the last  twenty racing days.Recent handle trends suggest that more than $5  million in new  money will be bet on on the Rainbow 6.
First post is 12:00  p.m. for a 12-race card.

The Rainbow 6, a 20 cents per combination-only bet, will be on races seven to twelve with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:14 p.m.

Tickets with all six winners will dividc the payout consisting of the entire  coming-in carryover plus 80 percent of the day's  Rainbow 6  bet.

The Saturday card will  start with a carryiver of $5,770 on the Super Hi 5.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is 20 racing days old,extendingback to May 14. That was Gulfstream's first race day after a mandatory payoff day on May 9 (details below).

The Rainbow 6 jackpot consists of the full coming-in carryover plus 80 percent of the day's new Rainbow 6 bets.


On non-mandatory days, Gulfstream pays out the  jackpot only on days when there is just one ticket with all six Rainbow 6 winners.

On non-mandatory days with multiple winning tickets, Gulfstream takes out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet. It then divides 56 percent among tickets with six winners and adds 24 percent to the carryover.

On  Friday, there were 24 ticketswith all six Rainbow 6 winners. Each won $8,475.20 on the 20-cents per combination only bet.

,605,Wagering on the Rainbow 6 was $365,355. Gulfstream added 24 percent of that to the carryover, increasing it to $1,861
