The Roar Stakes is coming up at Gulfstream--the ninth race with scheduled post at 5:19 p.m.
It is seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-olds that have not won a stakes race.
Classic Rock is the likely favorite in the nine-horse field. He is coming off two wins at seven furlongs at Gulfstream- in a maiden special weight and an allowance optional claimer.
Classic Rock is owned by Reeves Thoroughbred Racing and trained by Kathy Ritvo. Michael Ritvo, Kathy's son, has the mount.
Classic Rock is one of sevral Roar runners that have shown early speed. Coleman Rocky, the likely second betting choice, is among horses that should be gaining ground in the stretch.
