Tampa Bay Downs presents a nine race Christmas eve program with the first Post time scheduled for 12:15 PM.
The entire facility will be closed on Saturday, Christmas day. Sunday racing starts with the reopening on December 26.
Racing will be held every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, until the season's end on May 7.
Today's play is in Race 9 with a 4:17 PM Post Time. A wide open handicapping puzzle awaits in the nightcap. Ten Maidens will do battle at mile on the lawn under $32,000 claiming conditions. Bettors should be able to get square prices on several contenders.
Here is a 6/1 shot who just might jump up and graduate today. MACHINEGUNPREACHER (4) moves to the turf and drops into Claiming company for trainer Kelsey Danner. (24% winners, 1st time grass).
