WHISKEY PLANK (1) has a good turn of early foot and figures to be prominent from the gate. He had the lead at the top of the stretch on November 27, in his first try on the local lawn. That outing was at eight and one-half furlongs, the turn-back to a flat mile today will be to his advantage.
Alonzo Quinonez, a promising young rider, takes the mount for the first time. He scored on the turf lately on a double digit longshot. Loose on the lead runners won a couple of events last week, look for that trend to continue when the situation permits.
