The Late Pick 5 has a carryover of $51,336, It is on races five to nine with the sequwnce scheduled to start at 2:17 p.m.
Today's play is in Race 7, a well matched field of three and up Fillies and Mares will sprint six panels on dirt under $25,000 Maiden Claiming conditions. Post time is 3:23 p.m. Live coverage on RadioStPete online, including legendary race caller Richard Grunder, will start at 3:20.
BAHAMIAN MOON (5) is dangerous in this event, getting back on dirt after an unsuccessful turf try in her last outing. Prior to that, she logged a trio of local place finishes earning the best figures in the field. Veteran rider Jose Ferrer has the return mount for trainer Dennis Ward (31% winners together). Blinkers go on here (Ward 40%) and she turns back to a sprint, which should be to her benefit.
