Sunday, March 19 -- Gulfstream Park has a heavily anticipated mandatory payout today on is Rainbow 6- and the money pile starts with a carryover of $1,366,160.
Gulfstream is guaranteeing that the pool will be at least $5 million.
First post is 12:55 p.m. for an 11-race card. The Rainbow 6, a 20-cents per combination only bet is on races six to eleven, with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:23 p.m.
Today, Gulfstream will pay out the Rainbow 6 jackpot regrdless of the number of tckets with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
The jackpot consists of the entire comng-in carryover plus 80 percent of the day's new Rainbow 6 bet (20 percent takeout).
On non-mandatory days, Gufstream pays out the jackpot only if there is just one ticket with all six winners.
When there are multiple winning, Gulfstream has its 20 percent takeout. It dividdes 56 percen of the day's Rainbow 6 bet among the tickets with six winners and adds 2 percemnt to the carryover.
