No stakes races today, but 6 turf races are planned (1,3,5,7,9,10). Four races are for 3 year old’s in races 1,5,6,10.
Remember, all horses have January 1st birthday’s for racing, so today’s 3 year olds were yesterday’s 2 year-olds.
In Sunday’s racing, 4 favorites entered the winners circle, as 3 races were off-turf under cloudy-good conditions.
The Rainbow 6 and other wagers paid off the following Sunday.
Late Pick 4, $283.85
Late Pick 5, $887.90
Late Pick 5 consolation, 4 of 5 paid: $13.20
The Rainbow 6 paid $1,019.64 to about 157 winning ticketholders.
The total pool on the Rainbow 6 was $288,816, and has been increasing along with the carryover. No Pick 6 jackpot has been paid this meet thus far – 22 race days. This carryover coming into New Year’s is now $1,212,892. The approx. post time of the start of the Rainbow 6 will be 2:30 PM in race 5.
The Super Hi-5 wager had no winner Sunday in the last race, so that carryover today is $13,459, which looks like it will be a valid wager in race 1 with 10 starters planned on the card.
