Gulfstream Park West (GPW) plans an 8-race card Friday, with a first post of 1:00 PM
at the Miami Gardens Track, on the Calder Race Track and Casino
property.
All races today are either maiden claiming, claiming.
allowance optional claiming, or maiden special weight. Last post time is
4:43 PM and all the racing dates on this meet ending Nov. 24th will have 1:00 PM post times.
Four 2 year-old races are planned in
races 1,2,3, and 5. No stakes races today. Just a 15% chance of rain is
expected during racing hours per the Weather Channel.
Here are the payoffs on the Thursday racing card, where 59 starters ran 8 races.
Late Pick 4, $1,065.65
Late Pick 5, $3,841.65
Late Pick 5 consolation, 4 of 5 paid: $42.50
Rainbow 6, $1,597.02 (5 of 6)
Afrolina, at 27:1 was the outlier in
race 3’s two year-old run, which no doubt was the chief reason no one
had the Rainbow 6 wager figured out. Hector Berrios rode the winner in
1:28.55 in the 7 furlong dirt race. Five of 6 on the Rainbow 6 paid the
$1,597.02 to 11 winners.
The total pool on the Rainbow 6 was a
lowly $31,386, as interest will be low here until the carryover reaches –
perhaps – $100,000.
Today’s carryover is $12,296. It starts in race 3 at approx. 2:00 PM.
The Super Hi-5 wager carryover will be $1,729 in race 1 if 7 or more starters leave the gate.
Good Luck!
