Gulfstream Park plans a 12-race card Sunday, with a first post of 12:45 PM at the Hallandale, Florida track. No stakes races are planned.
In Saturday's action, 114 starters ran 12 races, with just two favorites entering the winner's circle. Track conditions were Clear-Firm or Clear-Fast for the entire race day.
A couple 15:1 and 16:1 wins led to some nice payouts in the late races. Races 10 and 11 were small claiming races ($6,250 and $10,000) where Il Faraone and Enduras Tigress both won by a neck over their rivals.
With that said, the race payoffs were very nice to bettors.
Late Pick 4, $6,129.35
Late Pick 5, $30,336.75
Rainbow 6, $67,829.24
Late Pick 4, $6,129.35
Late Pick 5, $30,336.75
Rainbow 6, $67,829.24
The Rainbow 6 win went to just two ticket holders, who split the $135,677 available after the carryover of $58,147 was added to the existing carryover. The total pool on this wager was $242,281, and 60 starters left the gates the last 6 races.
Sunday's carryover on the Rainbow 6 is at $712,697. It starts in race 7 at approx. 3:45 PM. It's paid when a single winner has all 6 finishers on his or her $0.20 wager.
