Gulfstream Park plans a 10-race card Friday, with a first post of 2:00 PM
at the Hallandale, Florida track. No stakes races are planned.
The
weather channel forecasts a 25-50% chance of rain during racing hours,
so expect some off-the-turf racing.
Thursday saw 3 races off the turf,
with 11 horses scratched on the Rainy and Sloppy-sealed main track.
Also Thursday, just 59 starters ran the ten races, where 6 favorites won their races – a surprise given the weather.
The three Off-turf races were included in the late pick 5 and Rainbow 6, leading to some very tiny payouts.
Three legs of the Rainbow were given ALL on their tickets when those
races were taken off the turf. The winning program numbers were 1/3-ALL-1-ALL-2-ALL.
The late race payoffs were as follows:
Late Pick 4, $34.45
Late Pick 5, $106.10
Rainbow 6, $2.12
The Rainbow 6 win went to an estimated 32,600
ticket holders !
That’s got to be a wagering low payout. We suggest to
keep your ticket as a souvenier; it may bring some money in the future.
The total pool on this wager was $123,636, and a lowly 35 starters left the gates the last 6 races.
Today’s carryover on the popular Rainbow 6 is at $793,148. It starts in race 5 at approx. 3:58 PM. It’s paid when a single winner has all 6 finishers on his or her $0.20 wager.
