Gulfstream Park plans a 12-race card Saturday, with a first post of 12:45 PM at the Hallandale, Florida track. No stakes races area planned.
Again there's a big chance of thunderstorms starting near 4:00 PM
(races 7,8). Keep that in mind. Friday's racing saw 2 of 5 races taken
off the turf, resulting in a record low Rainbow 6 payout.
In
Friday's action, 62 starters ran 9 races, with three favorites entering
the winner's circle. Rains started after race 4, so race 5 was the last
to stay on the turf course.
When the racing surface changes after bets
have been placed, the ticket holders receive EVERY STARTER on their
ticket for those legs affected. Therefore, races 7 and 9 were off the
turf and those 14 combined starters qualified as winners on those tickets (Late Pick 4,5 and
Rainbow 6).
That greatly increases the number of winners: the field of
40 starters now becomes 26. With that said, the race payoffs were:
Late Pick 4, $233.35
Late Pick 5, $8.75
Rainbow 6, $15.04
The Rainbow 6 win is the lowest since we've recorded the data; over 4 years. There were 4,412 winners.
The winning sequence on the late multiple race wagers was: 4-2/3/5-4-ALL-2-ALL.
The prior low payout on the Rainbow 6 was this year, January 24th,
which paid $23.22. It was also a day when 2 legs received ALL.
Today's
carryovers include the Rainbow 6 at $526,057, and the Super Hi-5 wager
at $2,681. The Rainbow get underway in race 7 near 3:45 PM.
Good Luck !
