Gulfstream Schedule, Rainbow 6 Carryover is $120,802 on Thursday

Gulfstream Park will resume live racing on Thursday—following dark days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here are details of what lies ahead for the four race days Thursday through Sunday.

*Thursday, Sept. 13 – Nine races with first post of 2:00 p.m. There are no stakes races on the card.

The carryover on the Rainbow 6 is $120,802.  It will be on races four to nine with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.

The carryover has grown because Gulfstream has gone eight straight race days (since Thursday Aug. 30) without the jackpot payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races. The jackpot consists of the entire start-of-day carryover plus 80 percent of the day’s bets on the Rainbow 6.

On Sunday, there were 22 tickets with the winners of all six races.  Each received $2,150.80 on the 20-cents only bet.

The carryover coming in was $99,785.

Bettors added $87,557 to the Rainbow 6. Of that Gulfstream took out 20 percent, divided 56 percent among tickets with six winners and added 24 percent to the carryover.

*Friday Sep. 14 – Nine races, with first post of 2:00 p.m. There are no stakes races on the card.

*Saturday Sept. 15 – Entries will be out late Wednesday afternoon. The Condition Book shows the $75,000 Miss Gracie Stakes, at 7 ½ furlongs on turf for 3-year-old fillies.

*Sunday Sept. 16 –Entries will be out late Thursday afternoon. The Condition Book shows the $75,000 Islamorada Stakes at five furlongs on turf for 3-year-olds and up.
