A Good Day to Play the Rainbow 6?

The scheduled post of 3:30 p.m. is coming up for Gulfstream's fourh race, which  is the start of the Rainbow 6.

There is still time to finish some off-the-turf handicapping. We think it is a good day to play rhe Rainbow 6--if you are content to aim to win a couple thousand dollars, rather than thinking jackpot-only.

*Rain-related scratches have reduced the number of runers to 40--or  6.67 per race.

*The carryover of $69,000 is attractive, but not big enough  to bring in the syndicates and whales who go deep in many races.

*Barring two or three big-odds winners it could be a relatively easy day to  handicap. There should be about $70,000 bet--leaving about $40,000 to be divided among winning tickets.
