Friday is the 41st day of Gulfstream Park’s
56-day summer meet.
Defending jockey champion Tyler Gaffalione goes into it
with 44 wins, giving him a three-win lead over Emisael Jaramillo who has 41.
Samy Camacho is third with 34 riding wins, followed by
Miguel Angel Vasquez with 31 and Edgard Zayas with 30.
Armando De La Cerda leads trainers with 18 wins. Defending
champ Victor Barboza Jr. and Ralph Nicks each have 14 victories and are tied for second place. They are followed by Gilberto Zerpa with 13 and
David Fawkes with 12.
There is a three-way tie for sixth place at ten wins
–among Stan Gold, Antonio Sano and Marcus Vitali.
\Defending champ Arindel has ten wins and leads the
owners’ race. Midwest Thoroughbreds is
second with eight wins. Drawing Away
Stable and Aurrichio and Jacobson have seven wins each and are tied for third
place.
All of Arindel’s wins are with Gold. He runs a public stable, with Arindel as his
main client.
