With five race days left in the Gulfstream Park West meet, Emisael Jaramillo has an eight-race lead in wins among jockeys.
Jaramillo has 46 wins from 176 starts and Edgard Zayas is in second place with 38 victories in 168 starts during the first 35 days.
On Saturday's ten-race GP West card, Jaramillo has five mounts and Zayas has seven mounts.
The meet, which ends Nov. 26, is held at Calder in Miami Gardens and is run by Gulfstream Park.
Zayas led jockeys in wins at the GP West meets in 2015 and 2016.
Tyler Gaffalione, the other member of the local year-round Big 3 jockeys, and up-and-coming Jose Batista both have nineteen wins and are tied for third place. Gaffalione has had 122 starts and Batista has had 118.
Gaffalione led jockeys in wins at this year's Gulfstream Park spring and summer meets.
This fall, he has ridden at tracks outside Florida on numerous days.
On Saturday, he will be riding at Churchill Downs in Loulsville, Ky.
Gaffalione has two mounts, including the Shug McGaughey-trained Fair Point in the Cardinal Handicap (Grade 3) at 1 1/8 miles on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.
