The Rainbow 6 was hit on just one
ticket at the Gulfstream Park West meet on Thursday, and it paid $52,137.54 on
the 20 cent only bet.
It was the only ticket that had Delicious
Pursuit, winner of the eighth and final
race at 5-2, as well as the other five
Rainbow 6 races—run at Calder in
Miami Gardens.
As of Thursday night, meet sponsor
Gulfstream Park had not released information on where the ticket
was bought or on how much it cost.
The payoff was the combination of
the entire carryover of $32,984, built up over five race days with multiple tickets
that had all Rainbow 6 race winners, and 80 percent of Thursday’s Rainbow
6 wagering of $23,955. The bet
has a 20 percent takeout.
On days with multiple Rainbow 6 winning
tickets, Gulfstream takes out 20 percent, divides 56 percent of the
day’s bets among the winning tickets and adds 24 percent to the carryover.
The winning program numbers for the
Rainbow 6 sequence were 3-6-1-5-7-2.
Odds on the winning horses were 6-1,
2-1, 9-2,6-1, 9-1 and 5-2.
GP
West will begin a new Rainbow 6 pool on Friday. First post is 12:35 p.m. for a ten-race card. The Rainbow 6 will be on
races five to ten.
