Mr. Jordan took the lead entering the far turn and went on to beat Richard the Great by 11 1/2 lengths on Saturday in the $75,000 Millions Classic Preview at the Gulfstream Park West meet.
Mr, Jordan won this race last year and has won all four of his races on the track at Calder, the site of the GP West meet that is run by Gulfstream Park.
On Saturday, he was clocked in1:45.47 for 1 1/16 miles on the dirt track that was listed as Fast. Edgard Zayas rode Mr. Jordan. who was the 9-5 favorite.
Eddie Plesa Jr. trains Mr. Jordan, a 5-yea-old gelding. This week, Plesa said he plans to return to training year-round in South Florida. For the last dozen years, he has been dividing his time between South Florida and Monmouth Park in Oceanport, N.J.
Mr. Jordan is owned by David Mellin, Leon Ellman and Laurie Plesa.
