What's in a Name?

Today's scratch list for Tampa Bay Downs shows that two entrants listed in the program as colts are "changed to gelding."

They are Masterofthehouse, the 3 horse, in the sixth race, and Request Denied, the 7 horse in the seventh race.

Enough said.

Rather than jokes, we'll monitor how these horses do following the ultimate equipment change.

The 4-year-old Masterofthehouse is making his turf debut, at 1 1/16 miles  for a $25,000 claiming price.

All six of his races were last summer at Presque Isle Downs in Erie, Pa.  He has a win and two second place finishes, and has shown speed. David Delgado rides for trainer john Bourque.

With 5 minutes to post, Masterofthehouse has  odds of 13-1 in the seven-horse field. Irish Major (8) is scratched.

Four entrants have at least one win on the Tampa turf.  They are Trismen (1), Paparazzi (2), Tutti Sanno (5) and Animal Trick (6).
