Gulfstream Park will have a Carryover of $666,757 on its Rainbow 6 on Saturday.
First post
is 12:35 p.m. for the13-race card. The Rainbow 6 is on races eight through 13.
Also on Saturday, Gulfstream will have guaranteed
pools on the Rainbow 6, the Late Pick 4 and Late Pick 5.
The guarantees:
*Rainbow 6 -- $900,000 (Races 8 to 13), 20 cent-only, guarantee includes the carryover
*Rainbow 6 -- $900,000 (Races 8 to 13), 20 cent-only, guarantee includes the carryover
*Late Pick 5 -- $200,000 (Races 9 to 13) 50-cent
minimum
*Late Pick 4 -- $250,000, 50-cent minimum
*Late Pick 4 -- $250,000, 50-cent minimum
If any of the pools are less than the guaranteed
amounts, Gulfstream will put in money to make up the difference.
On Saturday’s first
race, Gulfstream has a carryover of $5,575.41. It is a $1 minimum bet
that requires picking the first five finishers in correct order, with no consolation
payoffs.
The Rainbow 6 carryover has been
growing because Friday was the 16th straight race day without the
jackpot payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
The jackpot is the full carryover
plus 80 percent of the day’s new Rainbow 6 bets.
On Friday, the Rainbow 6 carryover
coming in was $626,326.
Bettors added $226,825 to the Rainbow 6 pool.
There were 143 tickets with all six winners. Each
received $885.06. After its 20 percent
takeout, Gulfstream divided 56 percent of the day’s bet among the tickets with
six winners. It then added 24 percent to the carryover.
The
Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination-only bet. Multiple horses can be used in
each race, thus setting up a ticket with multiple 20 cent
combinations. For example, a ticket with two horses in each race has
64 combinations and costs $12.80.
