Tether to Reality hit
the portable rail in deep stretch and tossed his jockey Victor Lebron in
Saturday’s sixth race at Tampa Bay Downs.

stayed on his feet. He was later caught by outriders.
Lebron walked off the
track without assistance. But he later
was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital after complaining of pain in his
lower back and of dizziness.
The Tampa Bay Downs media office reported that trainer Joan Scott
said Tether to Reality suffered a few scratches
but was fine.
The race was 1 1/16
miles on the turf course listed as
firm. It was a $22,500 allowance for
4-year-olds and up that had never won a race other than maiden, claimer or had not won two races.
It was the second
career start for Tether to Reality, a
5-year-old gelded son of Harlan's Holiday.

He won his debut on
Jan. 6 at Tampa Bay, at six furlongs on
dirt and with Lebron as rider.
Vakeesh won the
Saturday race by a neck over Celebrity Warrior, in 1:42.60.
Gary Wales rode
Vakeesh for trainer Arturo Rodriguez.
Ronnie Allen Jr. rode Celebrity Warrior for trainer Derek Ryan.
