Request Denied, a newly-gelded first-time starter with a heart-wrenching name, finished eighth and last in Wednesday's seventh race at Tampa Bay.
Royal Crusader won the 6 1/2 furlong race, a $16,000 maiden claimer for 3-year-olds.
