Gulfstream Park’s Rainbow 6
carryover will be $1,010,856 on Friday.
Gulfstream will have eleven races
with first post of 12:35 p.m. The
Rainbow 6 will be on races six to
eleven, with the sequence scheduled to begin at 3:02 p.m.
The Rainbow 6 carryover has been
growing because Thursday was the 20th straight race day without the jackpot payoff
requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races. The jackpot is the full
carryover plus 80 percent of the day’s new Rainbow 6 bets.
Thursday’s Rainbow 6 was dominated by low odds winners. There were 895 ticket with all six winners. Each received $190.42, under the non-jackpot
day payout of 56 percent of Thursday’s bet to tickets with the most winners (in
Thursday’s case six). Gulfstream added 24 percent to the carryover.
Wagering on the Rainbow 6 was
$304,327 om Thursday—highest for a weekday during the current championship
meet.
