Rainbow 6 -- Thoughts on the Feature 11th Race
In today's Rainbow 6, the Rusty Arnold-trained Sugar Cone is a good prospect who might go off at double digit odds.
Sugar Cone is the 2 horse in the 11th race, the feature Margate Stakes at 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt for 3-YO fillies.
Arnold is having good meets at Gulfstream and Tampa Bay--hitting the board at a .500 or so clip with many of them double digit horses,
Witness:
*Yesterday in the 12th at Gulfstream, Derby Champagne at 16-1 lost by a neck to Carlo Vaccarezza's favored Little Scotty in a one mile maiden claimer on turf.
*On Saturday Feb. 13 at Tampa Bay, Weep No More at 13-1 wired the field in the Suncoast Stakes.
Sugar Cone, a daughter of Street Sense, last raced on Nov. 28 when finishing fifth in the 1 1/16 mile Golden Rod (Grade 2) at Churchill Downs. She is one-for-three lifetime. Julien Leparoux rides today.
Tap to It and Off the Tracks, two stars at Saratoga last year, are part of the seven-horse Margate field. Like Sugar Cone, they are back from layoffs.
You have to make hard choices today. So, we suggest Sugar Cone (2) and Tap to It (6) in this mental bet Rainbow 6 -- total cost $86.40
7th -- 3 4 9
8th -- 8 9 10 12
9th -- 4 7 11
10th -- 3 6
11th -- 2 6
12th -- 2 6 8
