Economists in the Florida Legislature’s research office will hold a public meeting this afternoon, starting at 1:30 p.m., to review the possible economic impact of a gaming bill that is under consideration in the Senate.
The current version of SB 7072 would allow decoupling of
live events from other gaming for all Florida pari-mutuels except Gulfstream
Park and Tampa Bay Downs.
The Office of Economic & Demographic Research is
holding the meeting. Prior to its start we will post an expanded version of
this story with details on decoupling and other issues.
