Destin Wins Sam F. Davis

Destin took the lead coming around the far turn and fended off a challenge by Rafting to win by 2 1/4 lengths in the $250,000 Sam F.Davis Stakes for 3-year-olds at Tampa Bay Downs.

Morning Fire, who set the early pace, finished third in the six-horse field.
