GP's Martha Washington Won by 33-1 Shot; Rainbow 6 Carryover is $367,284

Gulfstream Park's ten-race Sunday card has a carryover of $367,824 on the Rainbow 6.

The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races five to ten with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:56 p.m.

Conditions are listed as Fast and Firm. There are no stakes races on the card.

On Saturday. the 33-1 shot Starship Nterprise rallied to beat the 9-5 favorite Karakatsie   by a neck in the $75,000 Martha Washington Stakes.

The Martha Washington was one mile on turf for 3-YO fillies and was the day's eleventh and next to last race at Gulfstream.

Starship Nterprise's win was a main reason there were no tickets with all six winning horses in the Rainbow 6.

So, Gulfstream made its non-jackpot payoff to all tickets that had five of six winners.

Each of those tickets was paid $1,998.76 on the 20 cent bet.

HorseRacingtFLA's review of Equibase charts shows there were nine such tickets.

Program numbers of the six winning horses were 5-9-2-3-6-6.

Saturday's wagering on the Rainbow  6 was $178,478. Of that, Gulfstream took out 20 percent. It then divided 56 percent among the tickets with five winners and added 24 percent to the carryover.

The carryover has been growing because Gulfstream has gone 12 days without the jackpot/carryover full payout requirement of just one ticket with  all six winners.

Later on Sunday, we will have  a recap of the Martha Washington and other Gulfstream news.
