GP Resumes Thursday With Two Carryovers; Two Live Stakes, Belmont Simulcast on Saturday

Gulfstream Park will begin four straight days of racing on Thursday, with nine races and first post of 12:50 p.m.

The first race has a  carryover of $5,093 on the Super Hi-5.  It is a $70,000 Maiden Special Weight at five furlongs on turf for 2-year-olds.

It is a $1 minimum bet that requires picking the first  five finishers in correct order with no consolation payoff such as four of five. If there are no winning tickets, 83 percent of the bet is added to the carryover.

Gulfstream has the Super HI-5 on all races with seven or more starters.

The carryover on the Rainbow 6 is $62,635. The 20 cents per combination-only  bet is on races four to nine with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:25 p.m.

Gulfstream is guaranteeing that the jackpot payout on the Rainbow 6 will be at least $150,000 if there is just one ticket with all six winners.

If there are multiple Rainbow 6 winning tickets,  Gulfstream will take out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet. Then, it will divide 56 percent of the bet among tickets with six winners and add 24 percent to the carryover.

The dirt is listed as Fast and the turf is listed as Good.
