Heavy Rain Could Impact Gulfstream Card

Heavy rain has been falling at Gulfstream Park this morning, and the Weather Channel forecast is for a 70 percent or greater chance of rain during this afternoon's racing hours

First post is 12:45 p.m. for an 11-race card.

It is highly likely that Gulfsteam will be forced to move all six of the day's scheduled-for-turf races to the dirt track.  Those are  the first, third, sixth, eighth, eleventh and eleventh.

We will report that information when it is available, and we will have a list of scratches.

The first race has a Super Hi-5 carryover of $20,070.

It  is a  $45,000 MSW race and is scheduled at one mile on turf.  The race has 16 entrants, including four  Also Eligibles.

The bet is $1 minimum and requires pickng the first five finisheers in correct order--with no consolation payoffs such as four of five.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is $729,156. The 20-cents-per combination only bet is on races six to  eleven, with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:16 p.m.

$729,156
