Gulfstream Park plans a 9-race card Thursday, with a first post of 1:15 PM
at the Hallandale, Florida track.
There are 13 race days before the end
of the summer meet, which ends Sunday, Sept. 29th. The live racing then
moves 8 miles West to the Calder Race Course, named Gulfstream West -
for the October and November racing.
The
last live race day, on Sunday 9/8, saw 78 starters run 11 races, where 5
favorites won, and low payouts prevailed. All winners were under 4:1
odds except the 35:1 win by Magical Mystofales in race 2.
The weather channel forecasts a 40-55% chance of rain during racing hours.
Here are the payoffs for Sunday's racing.
Late Pick 4, $84.75
Late Pick 5, $165.35
Rainbow 6, $238.22 to approx. 630 winners
Four races in the Rainbow 6 were won by the odds-favorite, which watered down the win per wager greatly.
The total pool on this wager was $270,051, and has been running higher as the Jackpot grows.
Thursday's carryover on the popular Rainbow 6 is now $1,262,470.
It starts in race 4 at approx. 2:50 PM. It's paid when a single winner
has all 6 finishers on his or her $0.20 wager. The Super Hi-5 wager paid
$357.50 Sunday, and thus no carryover will be on the card.
Good Luck.
