Angelic Knugget (5), at 5-1, won Friday's s fourth Race at Gulfstream Park, to start the Rainbow 6.
Bettors poured $307,801 into the pool for the Rainbow 6, which is a 20-cent per combination only bet. The carryover coming in was $1,965,547.
It is expected that Saturday will be another day of heavy wagering on the Rainbow 6, which will include five stakes races.
First post is 12:05 p.m. for Saturday's 14-race card.
On Sunday, Gulfstream will have a mandatory payout of the entire Rainbow 6 carryover plus 80 percent of the day's new Rainbow 6 bets--no matter the number of tickets with all six winning horses.
Gulfstream usually makes that jackpot payoff only on days when there is just one ticket with all six winners.
On non-mandatory days when there are multiple wining tickets, Gulfstream takes out 20 percent of the day's bet. It then divides 56 percent of that bet among tickets with six winners and adds 24 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet to the carryover.
