Gulfstream Park plans a 10-race card Thursday, with a first post of 1:15 PM at the Hallandale, Florida track.
There are just 9 race days left in this meet, including today – before
live racing then moves 8 miles West to the Calder Race Course, named
Gulfstream West – for the October and November racing. Gulfstream plans a
Wednesday race day, 9/25 which is usually dark.
The
last live race day, on Sunday 9/15, saw a large 120 starter field in 12
races, where 4 favorites won. With just one favorite winner in the last
6 races, that led to some unusual and favorable payouts.
To wit: No one
had the winning late Pick 5 wager; carryover today $43,846; the Super Hi-5 carryover is a big $12,628 today in race 1, and the Rainbow 6 carryover keeps chugging higher at $1.544 million!
It’s a great wagering day to USE the losers money in the carryovers to add to your potential payout. A pair of 10:1 and 25:1 winners Sunday made the payouts bigger than recent trends. A mere 4 lucky tickets cashed the Rainbow 6 at $50,583.28 each.
The weather channel forecasts a 15-35% chance of rain during racing hours.
Here are the payoffs for Sunday’s racing.
Late Pick 4, $13,843
Late Pick 5, $554.85 on 4 of 5
Rainbow 6, $50,583 to 4 winners
The
past three racing days has seen the Rainbow 6 pools move into the
$300,000 plus area. We think it’s bound to increase most race days as we
enter day 42 of this Rainbow 6 carryover, last won on July 7th.
The Rainbow 6 starts in race 5 at approx. 3:16 PM, with
57 entries listed in those races. Take note of race 7, a maiden special
weight dirt race for 2 year-olds with a field of 10.
Good Luck.
