Gulfstream Park plans a 12-race card Saturday, with a first post of 12:45 PM. There is one stakes race on the day. The Bear's Den. It is a 6-1/2 furlong run on the turf for 3 or 4 year-olds who have never won two races.
Art G is Back is the 5:2 morning line odds favorite in the $16,000 claiming race for a $75,000 purse.
Races 2,7 and 8 feature two-year-olds, which are populating the race cards recently more and more.
In
Friday's action, three favorites won over the 9 races, with a 33:1
winnner in the last race to befuddle bettors. Seeking the Truth won the 2
year-old run then, while the other two-year-old race favorites finished
11th and 5th in races 3 and 5.
As
we said yesterday, pay attention to the two year old races, as they
have a history of disappointing bettors. You may want to bet deep on the
7th and 8th races if they are part of your Late Pick 5 and Rainbow 6
wagers. Twenty entries are listed in those two races combined.
Here are the payoffs on the Friday's racing card.
Late Pick 4, $1,179.75
Late Pick 5, $9,411.95
Late Pick 5, $57.45 (4 of 5)
Rainbow 6, $8,098.20
The Rainbow 6 win payoff went to 19 ticket holders. The total pool on the Rainbow 6 was $274,822.
Today's carryover on the popular Rainbow 6 is at $1,674,607. It starts in race 7 at approx. 3:55 PM.
The Super Hi-5 wager carryover will be $1,776 in race 1 if 7 or more starters leave the gate.
Good Luck!
