Bauer's Bets: Just Missed a big cash (another tough beat)

We got a thrill in Race 2. Both our double runners were 1,2 throughout the race. Our choice 23-1 RIBBONS AND ROSES (3) led the heavy favorite TAYLOR'S IN ORBIT (6) down the stretch, only to get nailed at the wire. We still collected $15 from the puny $6 payoff. We made a profit of $5, to reduce the deficit of $10.90 down to $5.90. Will have a play for Race 6 soon.
